Twin Lakes Adventure Cabin

If you've been dreaming of a lake cabin where the days are spent swimming, paddling, fishing, and disconnecting from the chaos of everyday life, you've found it.

Welcome to Twin Lakes—one of North Idaho's best-kept secrets. Less crowded than many of the region's larger lakes, it's the kind of place where mornings start with coffee overlooking the water, afternoons disappear on the lake, and evenings end on the dock watching the sun slip behind the trees.

This two-story rustic cabin sits directly on the lower side of Twin Lakes in Rathdrum with its own private dock, paddleboards, kayak, and front-row access to the kind of lake memories you'll be talking about long after the vacation ends.

Now let's address the elephant in the room: the stairs.

There are 67 stairs from the parking area down to the cabin and another 30-ish stairs from the cabin to the lake.

By the end of your stay, you'll either have stronger legs, a newfound appreciation for waterfront property values, or both.

The good news? Once you're down here, you may never want to leave.

This isn't a luxury resort. It's a real lake cabin. Rustic. Relaxed. Full of character. The kind of place where wet swimsuits hang on the railing, kids spend hours exploring the shoreline, and "one quick paddle" somehow turns into watching the sunset from the middle of the lake.

The cabin comfortably sleeps up to five guests and features one bedroom, additional sleeping space, and two bathrooms—one inside the cabin and one outside. Because this property was designed around lake life first and foremost.

Spend your days swimming from the dock, paddling the shoreline, fishing, floating, reading a book in the shade, or doing absolutely nothing at all. The hardest decision you'll make is whether to grab the paddleboard, the kayak, or jump straight into the water.

This is the kind of vacation where nobody is worried about schedules. Where dinner gets pushed back because everyone is having too much fun. Where phones stay forgotten inside while the lake takes center stage.

Just remember: everything you carry down those stairs eventually has to come back up.

Trust us though—one evening on the dock, watching the water turn to glass as the sun sets over Twin Lakes, and you'll understand exactly why every step was worth it.

Bathroom with a standing shower
Additional sleep area with a twin over full bunk bed
